Privacy Policy
Your play stays close to you.
Effective: 2026-09-16
Information handled by the app
Saber Duel works without an account or advertising. Versions with usage analytics send limited analytics information only after you agree. Earlier versions without this feature do not send usage analytics. Nearby gameplay does not depend on an analytics server.
Motion and nearby play
Motion sensor data is processed on your iPhone to produce swings, sound, haptics, and clashes. During nearby play, devices exchange temporary connection identifiers, blade state, impact strength and timing, connection maintenance messages, and capability information and proximity measurement tokens on supported devices. Distance measurements are processed locally.
Protecting communication
After connection, game messages are encrypted with session-specific keys. Service advertisements used for discovery and the initial key exchange are not covered by this encryption. Automatic pairing does not verify the real identity of another player.
Information stored on your device
Your selected hilt and onboarding completion status are stored on your device. The app itself does not persist gameplay history or raw motion recordings. Deleting the app removes its local data. Data restored through Apple backups depends on your backup settings.
Permissions
Local network access is used to discover and connect to a nearby opponent. On supported devices, Nearby Interaction measures distance to the other device. The app does not access GPS location, the camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library. You can change permissions in iPhone Settings; restricting them may prevent related connection features from working.
This website and Apple services
We have added no analytics tools, advertising, or tracking cookies to this website. GitHub Pages, our hosting provider, may process visitor connection information such as IP addresses for security. See the GitHub Privacy Statement. App Store, TestFlight, and Apple diagnostics are governed by Apple policies and your settings.
Support and deletion requests
If you email us, we process your email address and information you choose to include to respond to your request. We retain it for as long as needed to handle your inquiry. Contact us below to request access, correction, or deletion. Please do not send passwords or other sensitive information.
Contact and changes
Privacy contact: music.bk@gmail.com. We will update this policy and its effective date if the app’s data handling changes.
Usage analytics
When you agree, a random installation ID links your sessions and return visits. We send event times, session identifiers, ignition counts, hilt selections, connection attempts and outcomes, durations, app version/build, language and test/production environment to PostHog, Inc. in the United States over HTTPS as events are sent. This is pseudonymous data, not fully anonymous data. We do not send names, email addresses, raw motion, peer identifiers, precise location, or screen recordings. We use the event API directly without an analytics SDK or automatic touch capture. IP addresses are visible in network communication; the project is configured to discard client IP data from events and skip GeoIP enrichment.
Retention and deletion
Sharing is off until you agree and is not required for any gameplay feature. Turning it off in App information cancels pending transmission and clears queued events on your device. It cannot retract data already received by PostHog. The queue is memory-only, capped at 100 events and expires events after 24 hours; it is lost when the process ends. The random ID and agreement remain on the device until app data is removed. Analytics on our current PostHog Free plan has a one-year retention period; a 90-day automatic deletion policy has not been configured. To request deletion of already-sent data, contact music.bk@gmail.com with the analytics ID shown in App information, preferably before uninstalling. Backups and PostHog service/security records follow the relevant provider policies. See PostHog privacy.
